Square Team App User Guide
Welcome to the Square Team app! This guide will help you navigate the app and use its features effectively to manage your schedule, communicate with your team, and access important work-related information.
Getting Started
Download and Install: Download the Square Team app from your device’s app store.
Sign In or Register:
If you’re new to Square Team, you’ll receive an invitation from your employer. Follow the instructions in the invitation to create an account.
If you already have an account, sign in using your email and password.
Home Screen Overview
Clock In/Out:
On the home screen, you’ll find the clock-in button. Tap this to start your shift directly from your phone. When your shift ends, use the same button to clock out.
You can also track breaks and overtime through this feature.
Weekly Snapshot:
View a quick summary of your scheduled shifts for the week. This snapshot includes your work hours, locations, and any upcoming shifts.
Estimated Pay:
See an estimate of your pay based on the hours you’ve worked, including tips and overtime if applicable.
Messaging and Announcements
Messaging:
Use the messaging feature to communicate with your team in real time. This eliminates the need to share personal phone numbers and keeps all work-related communication in one place.
Announcements:
Stay informed with important updates from your employer. Announcements will appear in the app, ensuring you never miss critical information.
Shifts and Scheduling
View Your Schedule:
Tap on "Shifts" to see your upcoming shifts. You can view details like shift times, locations, and any assigned tasks.
Request Time Off or Swap Shifts:
Need to adjust your schedule? Use the app to request time off, swap shifts with a coworker, or claim open shifts. Your requests will be sent to your employer for approval.
Timecards:
Access your timecards to review hours worked, breaks taken, and overtime accrued. This helps you keep track of your work history and ensure accuracy.
Payroll and Earnings
Access Pay Information:
If your employer uses Square Payroll, you can view your pay stubs and estimated earnings in the "My Pay" section of the app.
Download Tax Forms:
Easily download tax forms like W-2s directly from the app when tax season arrives.
Update Payment Information:
Update your bank account details or personal information in the app to ensure your payments are processed correctly and on time.
Get Paid Faster:
Link your account to Cash App for faster access to your earnings, if available.
