The platform video game Battle for Bikini Bottom was inspired by the SpongeBob SquarePants on Nickelodeon program. The Heavy Iron Studio, Awe Games, and Vicarious Visions were in charge of its development, and THQ was in charge of its publication. The game was made available on the Xbox, GameCube, PlayStation 2, Game Boy Advance, and Xbox in addition to several PC versions. Instead of being a 3D platformer on a gaming console, the game is a 2D platformer for the Game Boy Advance. The Microsoft Windows version comes with a number of minigames.
