**Pokémon GO User Guide**
**Welcome to Pokémon GO!** Here’s how to get started and make the most of your Pokémon adventure.
**1. Getting Started:**
- **Download the App:** Install Pokémon GO from the App Store or Google Play Store.
- **Create an Account:** Sign up using your Google account, Pokémon Trainer Club account, or Facebook account.
- **Customize Your Avatar:** Personalize your in-game character with different outfits and accessories.
**2. Exploring and Catching Pokémon:**
- **Map Interface:** The game uses your device’s GPS to display your real-world surroundings on the map. Walk around to explore different areas.
- **Finding Pokémon:** Pokémon appear on the map. Tap on a Pokémon to encounter it.
- **Catching Pokémon:** Use Poké Balls to catch Pokémon. Swipe the Poké Ball towards the Pokémon and try to hit it. Different types of Poké Balls increase your chances of success.
**3. PokéStops and Gyms:**
- **PokéStops:** Located at interesting places such as monuments and public art. Spin the photo disc by swiping to collect items like Poké Balls, Potions, and Eggs.
- **Gyms:** Battle other Trainers’ Pokémon at Gyms. Join one of three teams (Instinct, Mystic, or Valor) to compete for control of Gyms.
**4. Buddy Pokémon:**
- **Set a Buddy:** Choose a Pokémon to be your buddy. Walking with your buddy earns you Candy specific to that Pokémon species.
- **Earn Rewards:** Your buddy will find Candy as you walk certain distances.
**5. Raids and Battles:**
- **Raid Battles:** Team up with other Trainers to defeat powerful Pokémon at Gyms. Successfully defeating a Raid Boss gives you a chance to catch it.
- **Trainer Battles:** Battle other Trainers in the GO Battle League or challenge friends directly. Winning battles can earn you rewards and increase your rank.
**6. Completing Your Pokédex:**
- **Catch and Evolve:** Catch different Pokémon and use Candies to evolve them. Some Pokémon can only be found in certain regions or during special events.
- **Special Research:** Complete research tasks given by Professor Willow to discover special Pokémon and earn rewards.
**7. Events and Community Days:**
- **Special Events:** Participate in themed events that offer bonuses and increased chances to catch certain Pokémon.
- **Community Days:** Monthly events featuring specific Pokémon with exclusive moves, increased spawns, and other bonuses.
**8. In-Game Purchases:**
- **PokéCoins:** Purchase PokéCoins with real money to buy items such as Poké Balls, Incense, and more.
- **Shop:** Visit the in-game shop to purchase items and upgrades.
**9. Safety and Etiquette:**
