How to use:
For Car Owners:
Download the OBDocker App:
Start by downloading the OBDocker app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
You can also visit the OBDocker website for more information on how to set up the app and purchase the compatible OBD2 scanner adapter.
Get an OBD2 Scanner or Adapter:
To use the OBDocker app, you’ll need an OBD2 scanner or Bluetooth OBD2 adapter. These devices plug into your car’s OBD2 port, usually located under the dashboard near the driver’s seat.
There are many compatible OBD2 adapters available on the market, including Bluetooth or Wi-Fi models that sync wirelessly with your phone.
Connect the OBD2 Scanner to Your Car:
Plug the OBD2 scanner into your car’s OBD2 port (this port is typically found under the dashboard on the driver’s side).
Turn on the ignition of your vehicle, but you don’t need to start the engine.
Launch the OBDocker App:
Open the OBDocker app on your smartphone or tablet.
The app will automatically detect the OBD2 scanner if it's properly connected to your vehicle.
If the app doesn't automatically detect the device, follow the on-screen instructions to pair it via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.
Read Fault Codes:
Once the scanner is connected, you can use the OBDocker app to read diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) from your car’s engine control unit (ECU).
If there are any issues or warning lights, the app will provide you with error codes and descriptions, helping you understand the problem.
