How to use:
How to Use Nomad Sculpt
Download and Install:
Start by downloading Nomad Sculpt from your app store and install it on your device.
Open the app to begin creating your 3D models.
Getting Started with Sculpting:
Start a New Project: On the home screen, tap the “New Project” button to start with a blank canvas.
Choose a primitive shape (such as a cylinder, sphere, or cube) to begin your sculpting work.
Sculpting Tools:
Use the sculpting tools like Clay, Flatten, Smooth, and Mask to shape your model. Adjust brush size, strength, and other parameters using the toolbar.
For hard surface modeling, use the trim tool with shapes like the lasso or rectangle to cut and shape parts of the model.
Customizing Brush Strokes:
Customize your brush strokes by modifying falloff, alphas, tiling, and pressure sensitivity (if using a stylus).
You can save your brush settings by creating tool presets, allowing you to reuse them later.
Painting Your Model:
Tap on the Paint option to add color, roughness, and metalness to your model using vertex painting.
Manage material presets to keep your favorite color schemes and apply them across different parts of the model.
Layer Management:
Create different layers for both sculpting and painting, which helps you isolate changes and easily go back and forth between iterations without affecting the entire model.
Working with Multiple Resolutions:
Use Multiresolution sculpting to increase or decrease the detail level of your model, making it easy to switch between rough edits and fine detailing.
Voxel Remeshing:
If your model requires a uniform level of detail, use the Voxel Remesh feature to clean up the mesh and ensure consistent polygon distribution.
Dynamic Topology:
Refine the mesh dynamically under your brush with the Dynamic Topology feature. This allows you to add detail only where necessary without increasing the polygon count everywhere.
Decimation:
To reduce the number of polygons while keeping as much detail as possible, use the Decimate tool to optimize your model.
Face Groups & UV Unwrapping:
Use Face Groups to segment your model for better management.
Apply Automatic UV Unwrap to prepare the model for texturing, with the option to control the unwrapping process through the face groups.
Baking:
Transfer vertex data like color, roughness, and detail into textures using the Baking feature. You can also do the reverse by transferring texture data back to vertex layers.
Exporting Your Model:
If you’ve unlocked the full version, you can export your model in various formats such as glTF, OBJ, STL, or PLY by tapping the “Export” option.
Customizing the Interface:
Adjust the app’s interface to your liking by customizing the layout, button positions, and colors. The interface is designed to be intuitive and mobile-friendly.
Post-Processing:
Add final touches to your model with Post-Processing effects such as Screen Space Reflection, Depth of Field, Ambient Occlusion, and Tone Mapping to enhance the overall look.
Saving Your Project:
Save your project at any time by tapping the “Save” button. If you're using the trial version, note that you won't be able to re-open projects until you unlock the full version.
