Players aid Anna and Elsa as they traverse the globe in the Kingdom of Arendelle. The player progresses through triple elimination stages by gathering snowflakes, much like Candy Crush Saga, Cookie Jam Blast, or other such games. A player will receive more energy boosts as the game progresses if they create more perfect pairings. The player must choose either Anna, Elsa, or Olaf before the game begins. As a player playing each character fills their magic, each character performs a specific skill by aligning dazzling blue crystals.
Players periodically have access to optional boosters during the game in case the level gets challenging. With real-world money or gift packs, which can include upgrades, limitless lives, energy boosters, and a variety of other boosts, gold coins can be bought from the Arendelle Market.
The player moves on to the next scenario after successfully finishing each one using snowflakes. As the player advances, the problem gets trickier because later tasks call for using more than one snowflake. Later in the level, the player will also run into challenging levels using different kinds of components.
